At 28 years old I found myself in far more debt than I could handle. I thought that I could handle the mortgage costs, car repayments and living costs whilst still treating myself to luxuries such as overseas holidays… how wrong could I be. When it came to the point of debt collectors knocking on my door I decided it was time to change my life and began researching online for the best ways to resolve my debt issues.

I looked at everything from simple money management techniques to extreme options such as bankruptcy and IVA. I had always tried to keep my debt problems a secret but when the issues became so extreme I was forced to confide in a friend who really wanted me to go and see a professional, to me this simply wasn’t an option.

After a few months I started to find better ways to manage my money and talked to lenders and came to reasonable agreements. I decided to setup this blog to help others who are in my situation or similar and are unsure of what to do themselves.
